St. Mary’s Soil Conservative District is seeking an individual to fill our erosion & sediment control specialist position.  The incumbent is responsible for reviewing urban erosion and sediment control plans, performing pre-construction meetings, correspondence with consultant firms and uploading information into the District and County Databases.  The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and comes with benefits.  Benefits include annual and sick leave, paid holidays, health benefits and simple IRA.  Starting salary is equivalent to State of Maryland Grade 15.  Eligible applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science or a related discipline.  Work experience in natural resources, engineering or surveying may be substituted with education on a year per year basis.  The position requires office and field work.  Applicants should have a basic understanding of erosion and sediment control principles and have experience in interpretating civil CADD drawling and reading topographic maps.
